European First in Czech Skalice: AgriBoom Ventures has unveiled Central and East Europe’s first specialised Agritech fund, armed with an impressive €60 million to drive innovation in agriculture and horticulture

Headquartered in Česká Skalice, Czech Republic, this groundbreaking initiative combines financial investment with unique access to the agricultural facilities of AGRO CS, offering startups an unparalleled opportunity to test and refine their technologies in real-world environments.

The newly established fund aims to become a key player in the agritech sector across Europe and beyond. AgriBoom Ventures is actively seeking innovative startups and companies from Europe, Israel, the US, and Canada that are delivering revolutionary solutions and looking for a strategic partner to scale their impact. Beyond capital investment, the fund provides startups with access to the extensive operational network of AGRO CS, one of the largest family holdings in the Czech Republic enabling real-world testing and immediate market integration.

“This is an unprecedented offering in the world of startups and private equity,” says Ondřej Zbytek, Managing Director of AgriBoom Ventures and an experienced entrepreneur in agriculture and venture capital. “In addition to €60 million in funding, we offer startups a fast track to success by allowing them to test their technologies directly in our agricultural operations. Our collaboration with AGRO CS, our GP, gives startups instant access to an extensive customer network and distribution channels, shortening the journey from concept to market-ready product.”

Focused Investment, Practical Innovation

AgriBoom Ventures sets itself apart by concentrating on practical, localized solutions that directly address farmers’ needs in fields, greenhouses, gardens, and hop yards. The fund prioritizes technologies that enhance crop yields, optimize fertilizer use, reduce chemical pesticides, improve soil health, and protect the environment. Unlike many of its counterparts, AgriBoom Ventures does not target climate change mitigation or carbon footprint reduction, positioning itself as a niche player with a practical focus.

“We are looking for solutions that deliver tangible benefits to farmers and agricultural businesses,” explains Jan Harant, Director of AGRO CS. “European agriculture is undergoing a massive transformation. The pressures of sustainability and the volatility of input costs have created an unprecedented demand for innovative technologies. AgriBoom Ventures is here to find and support companies capable of meeting these challenges and driving efficiency in agriculture.”

Bridging Research and Practice

In addition to funding established companies, AgriBoom Ventures is committed to fostering young talent and early-stage ideas. The fund plans to collaborate closely with universities and academic institutions, offering mentorship and financial support to students, researchers, and young innovators. Funding starting from €10,000 is available to help bring groundbreaking ideas to life, bridging the gap between research and practical implementation.

How to Apply

Entrepreneurs and innovators with projects in agriculture or agritech are encouraged to submit their proposals via the AgriBoom Ventures website at agriboom.com. The fund is actively seeking pitch decks from startups and innovators ready to transform agriculture with practical, scalable solutions.
