fonio.ai will use the funding to enhance its AI, expand to an omnichannel platform, and grow across Europe, Vestbee reports.
fonio.ai, founded in 2024 by Daniel Keinrath and Matthias Gruber, is a DACH-based startup providing an AI-powered call assistant for businesses. The platform automates incoming and outgoing calls, transcribes conversations, schedules appointments, manages orders and customer service, and integrates with CRMs and calendars.
It operates with its own telephone numbers and GDPR-compliant data storage in Germany, serving nearly 4,000 customers and processing around 800,000 calls per month.
The round was backed by 13 selected European angel investors, including Daniel Gutenberg, Christian Stieber, Robert Wuttke, Jens Lapinski, and an unnamed Sequoia Scout, Vestbee reports.
fonio.ai will use fresh funding to advance its AI technology for customer communication, expand from a voice-only solution to a full omnichannel platform (including email and chat), and accelerate its growth into additional European markets.
