Ukraine’s capital will host the first Kyiv Defense Tech Week (KDTW) from April 27 to May 3, 2026, bringing together international investors, startups, engineers, military leaders, and policymakers at the forefront of defense innovation.
RobosizeME, a technology startup developing an AI platform for intelligent hotel operation automation from its base in Olomouc, has announced the closing of a $2 million (approx. CZK 47 million) oversubscribed seed investment round. The round was led by canadian SeedTwo Capital, with participation from regional leaders Sparking Capital and BrightCap Ventures, as well as Botanique Hospitality and a group of Czech angel investors. Including this round, the total capital invested in the history of the company now amounts to approximately CZK 90 million.

There is sufficient capital in the Czech market, but investors are increasingly encountering a shortage of high-quality startups. In last year’s survey, 62% of investors identified deal flow quality as the biggest challenge, yet investment activity remains relatively high. A total of 156 private and professional investors took part in the survey last year. This year, the investment group DEPO Ventures, in cooperation with the Czech Startup Association, is continuing with another edition of the Startup Investor Survey in the Czech Republic. It is the only comprehensive study focused on this investor group, offering an up-to-date view of investment sentiment, investor priorities, and the further direction of the Czech startup ecosystem.
