European AI startup BottleCap AI is strengthening its push from research into real-world deployment with a senior product hire. The company has appointed David Pavlik, whose background includes roles at SpaceX, Netflix, and Rohlik, as its new Chief Product Officer.

The move comes as BottleCap AI accelerates its work in efficiency-focused artificial intelligence research, an area gaining importance as companies look for ways to build powerful AI systems that are also practical, scalable, and cost-effective. Pavlik will be responsible for translating the company’s research breakthroughs into a growing portfolio of real-world AI products, with a focus on speed of execution and product-market fit.

According to CEO Jaroslav Beck and his LinkedIn post announcement, the appointment is both strategic and personal.

Pavlik brings a cross-industry product perspective shaped by high-performance engineering environments and consumer-scale platforms. Experience at SpaceX exposed him to cutting-edge technical development and mission-critical systems, while Netflix added expertise in large-scale digital products and user-centric platforms. His time at Rohlik, one of Europe’s leading e-grocery technology companies, further strengthened his experience in fast-scaling tech operations in the European market.

Beck himself is one of the Czech Republic’s best-known tech entrepreneurs. As co-founder of Beat Games, he helped build Beat Saber into one of the most successful virtual reality titles globally, with the studio later acquired by Meta. With BottleCap AI, Beck is now channeling that experience into the AI space, focusing on turning advanced research into accessible, high-impact applications.

The hire also follows a recent investment round for BottleCap AI, aimed at supporting the company’s research agenda and speeding up commercialization. The fresh capital is expected to fuel team growth and product development as the startup positions itself within Europe’s fast-evolving AI ecosystem.

With Pavlik leading product and Beck at the helm, BottleCap AI is signaling a clear ambition: to move beyond the lab and rapidly ship a new generation of AI applications built on efficient, research-driven foundations.

In recent years, the PR landscape has changed so significantly, but many founders are still navigating a reality that no longer exists. There was a time when PR felt like a set of familiar mechanics: press releases, media comments, the occasional interview. Today, it is far closer to managing a company’s digital visibility in an environment where information flows are shaped not only by editorial teams, but by algorithms, search engines and LLM models.
