The platform for the mediation of operational leasing Driveto is being sold. The company is being purchased from the investment group Miton, which was the founding investor of Driveto, by the internet entrepreneur and founder of Driveto František Peterka (in the opening photo) and the company tibiQ Holding SE, which is an established brand in the automotive environment. The new owners each acquired a 50 percent stake in Driveto.

Driveto has undergone major changes in the past year. “The changes included a change in management, streamlining operations and cost structures, and shifting the business model to an operational leasing intermediary. In the new setup, Driveto is profitable, more scalable, and can embark on its planned foreign expansion,” describes the changes, as current CEO Jan Čornej from Miton describes.

He worked closely with František Peterka on the transformation of Driveto. “We used what Driveto was strongest in since its launch in 2017, namely sales, marketing, and process digitization, and in less than a year, we built Driveto into the number one in the field of operational leasing intermediaries,” comments František Peterka.

The new co-owner is tibiQ Holding SE, founded in 2015. The tibiQ Group focuses on structural areas of the economy – finance, technology, real estate, automotive, and e-commerce, with sales of over a billion crowns. “Driveto has an exceptional ability to offer operational leasing online on the Czech market and an established brand that will remain, as well as Driveto’s independence. It will cooperate with tibiQ as one of the partners offering short-term and flexible operational leasing. It is therefore a strategic alliance. A key signal was also František Peterka’s interest in increasing his stake in Driveto and working on its development,” describes Karel Maroušek from tibiQ.

That the changes were successful is confirmed by both the transaction and the figures that Driveto plans to achieve thanks to the changes. “The goal for this year is to facilitate the sale of more than 3,000 cars to our partners through various forms of financing,” says the old-new CEO of Driveto František Peterka, adding: “Thanks to our many years of e-commerce experience and emphasis on digitizing the entire process using AI, we want to become the first destination on the Internet for purchasing a car in the SME and end customer segments.”

Driveto also strengthened its expertise in the automotive segment when two experienced managers joined the company at the beginning of the year. Tomáš Pindur came to Driveto with more than 10 years of experience from the leasing company Drivalia and is responsible for relationships with key partners from the leasing companies, dealerships and imports of automotive brands. Jan Jelínek, with experience from Driveram and Carvago, took on the position of head of the store.
