Panel Discussion

Building Teams and Culture: Practical HR Strategies for Today’s Challenges

At the latest TRUESDAYS event, we hosted a panel discussion featuring three seasoned experts in HR, employer branding, and recruitment.

Blake Wittman, our guest host, has nearly 20 years of experience in HR and talent attraction. As a co-owner of GoodGroup (which includes GoodCall, Datacruit, and Recruitment Academy), Blake focuses on business growth and strategy, advising companies on recruitment and employer branding.

Jiří Nečas shared his expertise in employer branding and PR. Jiří has helped scale companies like Kiwi.com and Productboard and is co-founder of Hiring On Ramp, a platform that helps startups navigate modern hiring practices.

Martina Suchomelová, Chief People Officer at Shoptet, brought nearly two decades of HR leadership to the table. She’s known for creating strategies that not only drive business growth but also enhance the employee experience.

The panel covered several key topics, including how to build a team on a budget—offering practical tips for recruiting with limited resources. They also compared HR practices between Czech and U.S. companies, discussing how cultural differences impact hiring and management.

The conversation then moved to company culture—how it’s formed, and the role leadership and values play in creating an inclusive, innovative environment. Lastly, they debated the pros and cons of remote work, addressing whether home-office setups improve or hurt company productivity and cohesion.

With their combined experience, the panelists shared real-world insights and advice on how to tackle these challenges in today’s fast-changing business world.

The event was another success, delivering valuable insights and opportunities for everyone in the TRUESDAYS community.
