A few weeks ago, we threw a rooftop grilling for all our startup & investor & corporate kitchen friends.
The weather on that day was supposed to be windy & stormy, but as it turns out, the forecasts (of the startup market & weather) are often wrong because Startup Grilling was lit!Â
We’ve invited a startup firefighter to help us to set the stage aflame! After ensuring the quality of local powder extinguishers & clear exit roads, Ivo Denemark said, “Let’s fire the Apple,” and gave a reverse pitch while flaming the fruit and explaining the role of Czechinvest in the startup ecosystem.Â
While the weather was SUNNY and he was UP (on the stage), Andrew Gray from Tilia Ventures drew some tasty metaphors between sustainable investment and a SUNNY-side-UP. He didn’t fry the egg, though; he flamed it.
Kudos to Jiri Skopovy, who ditched the flame gun and food props and presented Seed Starter ČS using his fired speech only.
Matej Miček represented Credo Ventures and used his flame gun to make the point that only a few startups make it while others, like corn, get burned. And Kristýna Minářová proved us that big banks and small startups can stand next to each other and cooperate if there is a will on both sides. And RaiffeisenBANK is a good example of that.
Thanks to our startup chefs on jury duty, Pavel, Lawreen, and Patrik! You were brave grill masters & you roasted them medium rare!

As Startup Kitchen, we welcome and appreciate all apprentices wanting to become startup master chefs. Together, we will continue to ignite success and create a sizzling future.
Thank you for coming!
