London-based startup London Quantum Group (LQG) believes it has found a way around that problem. Emerging from stealth today, the company unveiled its Blind Data Platform™, a privacy-first infrastructure designed to let healthcare organizations analyse medical data and train AI models without exposing the underlying patient information.
Instead of moving or revealing sensitive datasets, LQG’s technology enables researchers and AI systems to work with data while it remains under the control of the original healthcare provider. The goal is to make large-scale medical research and AI development possible without compromising patient privacy or regulatory compliance.
The company also announced it has secured more than $1.2 million in pre-seed funding, backed by Long Journey Ventures alongside a group of healthcare-focused angel investors. Long Journey is known for investing early in companies including SpaceX and Uber, making it a notable early supporter of LQG’s vision.

LQG combines expertise in mathematics, cryptography and healthcare delivery. Alongside Kot, co-founder and COO/CSO Dr. Chris Whittle brings years of experience as a Chief Medical Officer and previously helped scale digital healthcare services during the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Whittle, secure access to healthcare data has consistently been one of the industry’s biggest innovation bottlenecks. “Safe access to healthcare data has always limited how quickly new research can move forward. We want to remove that barrier while maintaining the highest standards of governance and patient protection.” The startup has spent its early development working closely with healthcare providers across both the UK and the United States, ensuring the platform addresses real-world privacy and compliance requirements rather than theoretical ones.
Among its collaborators is Dr. Arvind Madan, former National Director for Primary Care at NHS England and Senior Partner at Hurley Group. After working with Whittle during the growth of digital consultation platform eConsult, Madan believes the technology could significantly improve how healthcare organizations collaborate on research. “We can see this becoming an important piece of infrastructure for securely enabling data sharing for research and wider clinical applications,” he said.
As healthcare organizations increasingly look to adopt AI while navigating strict privacy regulations, startups building secure data infrastructure are becoming a critical part of the ecosystem. Rather than competing to build another medical AI model, London Quantum Group is positioning itself as the infrastructure layer that could enable many of them.
