For Sloneek, a fast-growing European all-in-one HR start-up, the timing could not be better. The company has closed a new funding round of $6 million, led primarily by Orbit Capital and Venture to Future Fund, significantly exceeding the original investment target. Sloneek will use the funds to expand into new European markets, integrate with local players, and above all, complete the full AI layer that will transform it into an HR super-system controlled naturally via chat or voice commands.
"Sloneek has built a digital product deeply rooted in the SME environment, often becoming the first company-wide system for its customers. What stood out to us is the speed and efficiency with which the company is able to ship new tools that heavily leverage AI capabilities — combined with strong cost discipline and commercial traction. Sloneek was therefore a compelling candidate for venture debt funding: a company with high returns on incremental capital, where growth investments carry significant upside potential."
Vít Javůrek, Orbit Capital
Since its founding in 2019, Sloneek has moved quickly from a regional HR tool to a European AI platform. The company raised its first pre-seed investment of €350K from Vision Ventures in 2020, followed by an €1M seed round led by Presto Ventures in 2022 — the same year it launched its first integrations with Google and Microsoft Single Sign-On, laying the groundwork for its broader ecosystem strategy.
In early 2023, right on the heels of the generative AI boom, Sloneek became one of the first HR platforms in Europe to integrate AI natively into its product — a move that accelerated client adoption and opened the door to international expansion. In June 2024, the company closed its then-largest round of €3.6 million, led by Purple Ventures II with participation from Venture to Future Fund and Vision Ventures, at a time of triple-digit year-on-year growth and a doubling of its client base. The current $6 million round is the next step in Sloneek’s push to become Europe’s leading agentic HR platform.
"For this round, we were looking for an investor who truly understands the B2B SaaS environment in a global context and has a genuine appetite for building a company for the world's largest clients. But also, one who understands the difference between quantitative and qualitative growth and can appreciate the real-world value and utility a startup delivers to its customers. One who respects the combination of startup hunger with deep expertise and years of built-up know-how. Throughout the entire process, Orbit Capital demonstrated that they think exactly the way we do. That was the deciding factor for us. And the fact that our round was oversubscribed with follow-on participation is really just a nice bonus — and proof that our team is executing well."
Filip Lukáč, CEO & co-founder of Sloneek
Sloneek is among the key early adopters of agentic AI in HR — a position that has helped drive its international expansion and attract the new investment that will further accelerate the platform’s technological development. Its flagship AI feature, Sloneek Intelligence, saves up to 90% of routine HR work through a dedicated HR agent. For the first time, it also gives HR professionals a comprehensive, interconnected view of their company and teams. And critically: it integrates into the natural workflows and habits of every HR professional, becoming the first platform that can be controlled entirely naturally — just like communicating with a human colleague.
“We want to be the first agentic HR platform that you can control entirely by voice or written commands. The trend is clear: in a few years, no one will think of Sloneek as an application — they will think of it as a partner wherever it is needed. Embedded in email workflows, in the tools people use every day, natively integrated into AI solutions and company-wide data,” says Filip Lukáč. “From analyzing CVs and drafting messages for specific colleagues, to amending employment contracts, building key presentations for the board, or preparing materials for payroll. What used to take hours will be achievable with a single voice command.”
Because Sloneek enables organizations to store rich data on every employee — including team, professional, and competency profiles — the platform is evolving into a strategic business intelligence layer: enabling team analytics, talent management and workforce planning, as well as tracking performance, competitiveness and departmental efficiency. All within a fully secure environment built for working with personal employee data.
The next milestone is full-coverage HR process integration through an extensive ecosystem of integrations. A significant portion of the investment will go towards connecting with key players in each target market, enabling Sloneek data to flow across the entire HR lifecycle — from recruitment to payroll. This fulfills the company’s vision of a single system for everything an HR team needs. At the same time, Sloneek will be able to communicate with AI agents across finance, marketing and other departments, becoming a node in the company-wide intelligence network.
“This firmly establishes our role as an all-in-one platform capable of significantly reducing the number of HR systems a company relies on — and eliminating the need to maintain employee records across multiple disconnected tools,” says Filip Lukáč. “All powered by AI, where we hold a meaningful lead thanks to years of proprietary development and deep domain expertise. Our goal is not to replace HR professionals — it is to give them the most powerful tool they can imagine. So they can focus on what AI cannot replace: strategic leadership and care for people.”
Sloneek targets enterprise in Western Europe
A further portion of the investment is earmarked for entry into new European markets — specifically the United Kingdom and Poland. Sloneek is already used by companies across 25 countries, but will now build dedicated local go-to-market teams in both countries. The goal is to establish a strong and growing presence across key Western European markets, with a particular focus on the mid-market and enterprise segment.
The expansion investment comes as Sloneek continues to cement its position as one of the fastest-growing HRIS startups in Europe and the clear market leader in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) currently stands at €2.5 million, having more than doubled over the past year.
The platform is today used by more than 500 global enterprise clients, who collectively manage the employee journey and HR processes for approximately 50,000 employees. Customers include Grant Thornton, MAN, WPP Media, and Twisto.
Demand growth is being driven by rapid migration to digital HR systems across Europe, alongside growing interest in AI tools that work directly with employee and company data. As data security becomes an increasingly critical consideration, demand for specialized HRIS platforms is rising in parallel. According to Sloneek data, 74% of companies were using cloud-based HR systems in 2025, while AI tools in recruitment and core HR analytics have become mainstream, used by approximately 58% of organizations.
