Companies are racing to outsource everything they do to artificial intelligence (AI). Whether it's a routine task or a sophisticated product that's at the heart of their entire business, the need to emphasize the use of these modern tools is omnipresent and unabated.

OWASmooth provides significant yet sensitive numerical data smoothing with low computational complexity, which makes OWASmooth an ideal partner for IoT applications, delivering high performance without high power demands.‍ Their solution can be integrated into MCU software, opening a plethora of pertinent opportunities for collaboration with data-gathering entities.‍

“We help companies turn raw data into a competitive advantage. Our algorithms increase the quality of measurement data by more than 70 percent, in real time and without the need to use AI or replace sensors,” explains founder Barbora Hennelová, a mathematician, author of key algorithms and the key brain behind the entire OWASmooth technology.

This can be integrated even into the smallest microchips, where running classic AI models would not be possible at all. “This is not artificial intelligence, but ‘just’ honest mathematics,” emphasizes Miroslav Hennel, the startup’s co-founder and an experimental physicist with many years of experience in the field of sensors and industrial measurement. “This allows us to provide deterministic results – i.e. consistent quality – and at the same time run in the simplest microchips, where we cannot even consider using AI models,” he adds.

Investors also believe that this is a very promising solution. Thanks to the Czech Founders VC fund, this Slovak startup is now receiving an initial investment of 40.000EUR and also a place in the Sherpa acceleration program, which focuses on scaling promising technology companies from Central Europe.
