Theodosian, UK-based cybersecurity startup, has raised $1.3 million in a pre-seed round led by Fuel Ventures, with participation from Estonian fund Startup Wise Guys, D11Z Ventures, 1818 Venture Capital, Heartfelt, and several angel investors. Mark Pearson, Founder & Managing Partner at Fuel Ventures, shared the news.

Theodosian is a UK-based cybersecurity startup, founded by Andy Johnson and Brendan Diaz, providing file-level encryption and access control for enterprises. Its platform embeds security directly into individual files, ensuring protection across sharing and storage environments.

Designed to meet global compliance standards like DCC and CMMC, Theodosian helps organizations strengthen data security and mitigate human and cyber risks.

The round was led by Fuel Ventures, a UK venture capital and investment fund specialising in early stage tech startup investments. Fuel Ventures supports high-growth technology companies from pre-seed (SEIS Fund) to seed (EIS Fund) and their Venture Capital Trust (VCT Fund). It provides both capital and strategic support to drive innovation and scale rapidly.

The round also was backed by Estonian fund Startup Wise Guys, D11Z Ventures, 1818 Venture Capital, Heartfelt, and several angel investors.

The funding will power the launch of Version 1 and help Theodosian scale rapidly, bringing their technology to enterprises across defence, banking, healthcare, and beyond.
