Ukrainian startup Frontline, which produces robotic systems and drones for the Defense Forces, has attracted $100,000 in investment from the Estonian Startup Wise Guys fund.

The startup team will use the raised funds to scale up drone production in Ukraine. Frontline develops innovative solutions for the defence sector, in particular the Linza and Zoom drones and the Burya combat robot systems. These developments are actively used on the battlefield to increase the efficiency and safety of military operations.

“We are grateful to the Startup Wise Guys fund for believing in our mission and supporting our product. This investment will help us do even more to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and bring Ukrainian defence technologies to the global level,” said Yevhenii Tretiak, CEO of Frontline.

The investment from the European fund provides an opportunity to scale up production, accelerate R&D and attract international partners for cooperation.

“We are delighted to be part of Frontline’s growth. Their products are incredibly valuable as they reduce the cost and increase the effectiveness of existing military solutions. Our investment reaffirms our support for Ukraine and our mission to create value for our investors,” said Sergio Borasino, VP of Cybersecurity and Founders Club Director at Startup Wise Guys.

Frontline previously received a grant of UAH 2 million from the Brave1 defense technology support cluster, as DEV_UA reports. They will be used in the production of BpAK «Linza» — a copter-bomber with the ability to perform reconnaissance functions.

In the summer, the company introduced a remote-controlled turret for the MK-19 Burya. In the fall, it became known that Frontline and Tencore had combined their developments into a single combat system that would allow the military to fire from a grenade launcher without exposing themselves to danger.
