Most emerging startups don’t start with huge valuations or easy access to capital. They face challenges that determine whether they succeed in the global market. At Czech Founders VC they believe in a recipe for success where global ambition is complemented by the experience of founders who have already blazed this trail.

Therefore Czech Founders VC has launched a six-month acceleration program that offers startups, in addition to an investment of 40k EUR, top mentoring or specialised workshops on topics such as go-to-market strategy, sales optimisation, the right approach to the product or the role of CEO in the company, led by the best founders around, namely Michal Pastier from GoBigname, Honza Široký – ex CTO Mews or Nikola Pantovič – ex-CRO Emplifi. The mentors don’t just give advice – they roll up their sleeves and help founders tackle specific challenges in sales, product development, and fundraising. Plus, the network of successful entrepreneurs and investors can expand your reach from Central Europe to the world.

What do the accelerated startups get?

  • Investment of EUR 40 000 to start (+ possibility of another EUR 250 000).
  • Mentoring from founders of companies like Mews, Brand Embassy and others.
  • Practical support and community for faster growth.

Startups from the first cohort, such as Flowlance, Edima or Daitable, have already successfully expanded.

“After nearly two years of struggling in the venture capital world and facing one rejection after another, Sherpa helped us get things in order and raise a pre-seed round of funding in a matter of months” says Patrik Kruntorád, CEO of Flowlance.

“With Sherpa, we are fulfilling the OKRs we set at the beginning of the program. DAITABLE is growing in sales, funding and team, but most importantly, we feel we have matured as entrepreneurs and now see the business from a higher perspective” noted Simon Stano, CEO of Daitable.

The next cohort is launching this spring and APPLICATIONS are in full swing.

When you first arrive at Expo 2025 in Osaka, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. Massive crowds. Reservation-only entries. Pavilions with 90-minute wait times. The app that doesn’t work. And I get it—Expo isn’t exactly a laid-back weekend. If you come expecting effortless entertainment, you might leave frustrated.

If you follow Czech startups, you know of Hustá, whether you’ve realized it or not. The PR firm has repped many of Czechia’s up-and-comers over the years, and its client list reads like a who’s who of everybody who is anybody in Czech tech. I sat down with the CEO and founder Jan Husták in Hustá’s Karlín office to find out more about his mission.
